Speaking to Venture Capital company Village Global, Bill Gates admitted that he had failed to build a standard non-Apple phone platform over Google's.
Bill Gates says his biggest mistake is not to build Microsoft's Android-like platform. Bill Gates says if he does that, Google's $ 400 billion will come to Microsoft.

Many say it was Steve Ballmer who didn't take it seriously. Steve Ballmer did not take Apple's iPhone seriously, they laughed at it. Steve Ballmer believed that expensive phones without keyboards would not suit business customers.
Microsoft then introduced Windows Mobile.
This was a smaller version of Windows available for PC.

Shortly after the iPhone came, Google released Android. It turns out that people prefer All-Screen OS.
Microsoft tried to join the race from Windows Phone 7 in 2010 but has had plenty of time yet. Android and iOS occupy a large part of the market. Windows Phone 8 decided the fate of this operating system.
Things are not too bad for Microsoft yet. In recent times Microsoft has also become the most valuable company in the world, surpassing Apple and Google.
